To Celebrate the Uncelebrated!

Right from childhood to adulthood, men as always been framed to fit into a structure where they are advised from not to cry, not to show themselves weak, to lift all the heavy weights, till being capable of earning pennies to their family. I feel they are always pushed into a unrecognized and not much appreciated zone.

For most of the girls whatever they have cooked for the first time they would have got appreciated, but have you ever heard a boy being appreciated for the first penny earned? May be one in hundred or thousands would have got appreciated. Men have always been trained not to show their sad faces and always be stubborn in nature. He is always tend to be the face of the family even if he doesn't like that.
We have heard many stories like father or brother going to work in abroad just to raise the financial status of their families. They have always been pressured to be the providers of the family. Dowry is always been a burden for women's and their family. We always forget that the dowry is nothing but hard earned money of man of their families in most cases. I am not blaming women here but my intention is to explain that men do deal with their own burden.

This paragraph is going to deal with the most sensitive topic "Not All Men". Yeah most of you would have guessed it right its going to be about rape. We, the society have never forget to raise a voice for women victims who have been raped(Much much appreciation nothing wrong in that!). But have we ever raised the voice for a man being punished without raping a girl who faced jail sentences. Yes this too happens but we haven't voiced out for that. Many a times without knowing the whole context men are easily judged. Talking about this doesn't mean that i support men who rape girls are to be glorified, those bastards need the most cruel punishment in the world, but what if the girl lies and frames a boy to be a rapist without doing anything wrong and just because he is a man. According to me those girls are also to be punished severely.

We stereotype men to be men in the most forceful manner. I would like to share the most ugliest advise that i got during my college times from the worst professor (who I hate the most). During a class hour she was just chit chatting with the whole class and the advise she gave for the boys IN front of the whole class was "Boys are not supposed to wear pink color clothes, whoever wears a pink color shirt is not a boy according to me", I was just perplexed how could she pass a statement like this in front of the younger generation and another shocking thing was most of the students agreed with that. The context of me sharing this incident is even men do face stereotype.

Coming back to the topic, Men have sacrificed their comfort zone and choices for the sake of their families. They have fought the toughest battles to bring joy to their families. Right from getting what we need till protecting us. Men have always been committed to their responsibilities no matter how much burden they are given.

To all the men who have been unrecognized, Unappreciated and Uncelebrated...................

Happy Men's day!
